Pain for the KLUTZ!

yeah I slept for over 15 hours straight after my black friday adventures!
I woke up saturday morning at about 9:30 am (after falling a sleep a little after 5pm the night before) and realized that I had not taken out my contacts. well, i was so tired, I just completely forgot about it, not like I tried it. BIG MISTAKE!! my freaking eyes burned sooooo bad on Saturday it was unreal! I couldn't see, I could barely open them to get the damn contacts out, and they hurt when any light was near. This didn't make much sense to me because my contacts are disposables and are supposed to be worn for two weeks straight without removal, but I never wear them this way. I take them out every night.
I drove to CVS and Rite Aid later on, after I was up for about 5 or 6 hours, and the burning was getting better. . .but as soon as the sun hit them, I was done for. I could barely open them, and they were watering. It did not make any sense to me. It hurt so bad!!

To top off my lovely day, I decided that since I didn't get crap done, I would start the xmas decorations. I was bringing a box of xmas stuff downstairs and I slipped on the steps (when I was like half way down), and fell down. OUCHY! I dropped the entire box of stuff, stubbed my toe really bad, landed on my upper back and knocked the wind out of me, then ended up finishing out on my lower back, right by my tailbone. O_O
It took me a while to catch my breath, and when i finally did, I thanked God for my life, cuz that fall could have definitely went wrong and I could have knocked my ass out or something. . .
even in all this pain, I feel lucky. Turns out, I think I broke my toe and my upper back feels sore .. .my lower back, near my tailbone really hurts bad and seems to be where I am having the most trouble. Not just to stand or sit, but to move, get into the truck, or lay down. . .it hurts. It is def not broken, because I am walking and bending, but it is really sore and I am hoping that this goes away soon. If not, I will make myself go to the doctor. Sheesh, I just cannot win! : /

Burning eyes to hurt back and broken toe. . .boy this is ending up being a great holiday weekend. . oh yeah, and did I mention that I just washed my cell phone. Yep, every cycle of the washer. . .there went my phone. Totally forgot to take it out of my pants pocket when I changed.

UGH! I have had some crappy luck. . .maybe it really IS time to go back to work. . .Im safer there!!! LOL

Black Friday

So why do they call it Black Friday? Hmmm. . .question to ponder or google search, I guess. They should call it "Crazy Friday" or "only fools friday" or "u have to be a crazy fool to be out here Friday!!" hahaha
We braved it and set out to be at Toys R Us at midnight. Well, we were running late because I had to get some coffee cuz there was no way I was making it through the night without it! No way! LOL We ended up getting there around 20 after and the place was packed. It was a freaking madhouse and the damn lines were already through the store. LOL what a joke! The good news is that I got everything I wanted except for one thing! The bad news is that we stood in line for over 3 hours!! Well, we didn't have anything better to do till JCP opened anyways! LOL I saved $50! so it was worth it, I guess. AND I will never do that again! People are just nuts. Some people had so much stuff in their carts, it was unreal. I am so glad those days are over for me. . .I remember when we had so many toys, it was unbelievable that there are actually kids who have nothing!! I do not miss the Toy days! stepping on matchboxes or legos at midnight on your way to the potty (WTF? I said "potty" lol) or tripping over stupid balls for the ball tent on ur way down the steps, or having thousands of stuffed animals all over ur floor, just when you are ready to run the sweeper! yeah, i am real happy those days are over!! LOL
I was really worried because I had to make JCP by 4 am to get my free disney snow globe. (yes, I checked the black friday freebies and that was the most important for me!!) I love disney, and I love snow globes, so a free snow globe was the best thing that happened to me on Black friday. . . .and after the TRU adventure, I deserved it!! LOL I was worried, because we didn't get there until like 4:20. . but we got lucky and got our snowglobes, and get this, didn't buy a thing there! Now that is my kind of shopping!! :)
Target opened at 5am and they had $3 toasters so I just had to be there for that deal! LOL My toaster took a crap a few weeks ago, and we really needed a new one! $3 toasters can't be beat, as long as I get one. We got to Target at like 20 mins till 5 and I will be damned, they ran out of the free target bags! Shoot! We stood in line for about 15 mins till they opened the door and the 500 people in front of us stormed in for their cheap tvs! LOL @ all those idiots! Shit, all I wanted was a freaking toaster! Whew! i got one!! :) :) This day is now worth it!! haha!
Next we went to Christmas tree shops and got a few good deals, then we went for breakfast cuz we were starving! then the bon ton to use our Free $10 coupon. . .off of $10!! All in all, we made out. . .and got home around 10:30ish.
Bed you say? Yeah, i wish!!!
Alex had a game in Hershey at 1:30. ..I rested for an hour and then got up, and went to the game in the freezing cold wind, tired as heck, and in a "bear" of a mood due to lack of sleep (but not entirely pissy lol) just tired. . .so tired!! LOL
It was a great game and we won 15-12 against UDA! This makes Millersburg the District 3 champs! I am so happy for them, but at the same time, i so wanted this football crap over! LOL
We were on the way home when Alex called all excited to say that they were riding the fire trucks through town to celebrate, and then were going to the Grace church for food. I opted for Bob to drop me off at home so I could catch some zzzzzz's and miss the whole firetruck celebration...believe me, they were better off without me!! LOL
I slept for 15 hours straight, not getting up once!! I was really tired!! LOL but I guess it was worth it. . .I am still trying to convince myself of that! ;)

Thanksgiving & a pissy mood!

Wow! what a freakin weekend. . .I don't even know where to begin!!
let's start with Wednesday when I left work early due to a doctor's appointment. Well, that went real well. we have been messing with some of my scripts and trying different stuff. This last med they put me on made me feel fatigued and crappy so we switched it again. i guess we will keep trying till we get it right. . .nothing like being a pin cushion for your doctor. yeah, well that appt made me pissy (yeah, imagine that, ME of all people, PISSY!) Meanwhile, Bob took Tara to the dentist office cuz my doctor appt ran wayy to long. Alex was at practice because of the championship game this weekend. So here i am all pissy with tons of shit to do. . .Great! Luckily for me, Thanksgiving dinner was at the in-laws (which was another reason I was so pissy - ya know, something to look forward to. HA!), so I had tons to do, but not nearly as much as it could have been. I had to make cookies and pies, etc.
I stopped at my friend Chrystal's to vent about the damn doctor (LOL) and to let her know how pissy and miserable I was (well, i had to share with someone!) and was hoping that little Vincent could cheer me up, because somehow, that little bugger always does! I like to play! and the world in the eye's of a two year old (almost 3) is way different than in our viscious world. . .so I kind of go to "pretend land" when I am pissy, and there is no better way to do that than to battle batman's bad guys and race cars all over the floor! It is like a break for me. . .in a way. I hung out there for a while and Chrystal suggested she come over to my house and we hang out tonight and make something for dinner. That was a cool idea and she ended up coming over. After a long drawn out period of making a list for the store, I sent Bob (cuz there was no way pissy me was going to go to the grocery store the day before thanksgiving without killing someone! LOL I kid, I kid - kind of!) ;) Hubby went for me (thanks hubby for keeping me out of prison for my fav FAMILY holiday!) and picked up stuff to make dinner. . .we had bacon cheeseburgers. Well, things started looking up after dinner and hanging out. Another one of my friends that I hadn't seen in a while came over as well, so that was nice! Then the sister in law came over and we had a little get together. . .which was really nice. It was like they all knew I needed them cuz I was having a bad day and they all hung out with me and helped me get my stuff done. They let me know that it was okay to have a bad day and have stuff to do, and not want to do ANY of it. But they all chipped in and helped me get it done and they made it fun.

Finally, thursday came. the big day! Turkey day! Yay! I should be happy and excited. . .but I have to go to the in-laws. Well, there goes all the excitement! Bleh! Okay, it wasn't really THAT bad, but it was interesting if nothing else. The most exciting part was planning my black friday shopping trip. . .I should have noted to myself the crappy day I had before, and tried to learn that maybe that was a sign this whole weekend was going to be crappy . . . but I didn't. UGH!!
I bought myself a paper and browsed the inserts, and plotted my strategy. My neices came over and starting giving me ideas of what they wanted. . .which was pretty much EVERYTHING! LOL
After leaving the in-laws, bob and I went to my sisters house to visit (and finish the strategy) and my sister and I decided that we should leave at midnight to get the best deals at Toys R Us. Yeah, that was a good plan! WTF were we thinking???

I gures I might as well as some more goals to the list.

Number one should be to figure out how people keep up with blogging, facebook, twitter. . .and all the other crap that there is. Sheesh. I am a tech dork. . .for real! I know there is prolly an easy way to go about it all. . .but I don't feel like researchin it now. . .cuz I have other goals, ya know? Important stuff. LOL (cuz we all know how well the goal thing is going!) ha!

Anyways. . .I need to make some lists. I need a list of lists. For example, My main list of lists would say that I need to make a blogging list, a grocery list, a xmas list (which includes to do, what gifts I have, who I have to shop for, etc. lol), a bill list (damn, I REALLY don't wanna pay the bills) sheesh. . .okay welll this sorta counts as a list - so lets forget about the lists for awhile

My baby made this precious thing for me and I cannot under any circumstances get rid of it. No matter what!! LOL Don't ya just love how the little p's are backwards? :D Alex was 6, almost 7 when he made this for me . . . it has little magnets on the back and we had it on the fridge for a while (prolly too long lol) eventually I put it away, with one of the (many) stacks of photos and keepsakes. Bob just happened to be moving that "pile of stuff" the other day, and was gonna throw this away! : / Man, I'm glad I was here to save it!! I might have had to hurt him! ;)

Well, okay, whatever the point was when I started this post, it's long forgotten. As usual, I babbled my way through this one and didn't get anything crossed off the list! :) I think i just really accomplished adding more to the to do list?! LOL Yeah, well. . .tomorrow's another day!

Quick update . . .

Well it has been a while . . .and I am not here to post about good deals! Imagine that. LOL
I have probably gotten some good deals in the past two weeks (yeah, it really has been that long and I apologized to. . .myself before I started this) ;)
Actually, yesterday I got a Mr. potato head for $1.99! regular price $7.99, on sale for $3.99 with a $2 coupon. I got the last one too! :D so now that we discussed that. . .let's move on!

I have a lot to talk about . .and apparently that is all I ever do?? : /

I had a birthday since I was last here (and everyone already knows that Im 29. . .) ;) the birthday was okay. I think I have grown out of birthdays. . .it is just not really a big deal if you don't get presents! haha I always make a big deal out of birthdays, but when it comes to mine I just don't wanna. . .as a matter of fact, we ended up at Chucke Cheeses on the actual day of my birthday and they asked if we were celebrating a birthday. I loudly said "NO!!!!!" and we went in. Bob and Chrystal just looked at me funny LOL I don't need a damn rat coming over to me (an adult, I think lol) and making a big deal out of me being 29! It was enuff torture just being there! haha j/k! it was okay. . .we had fun! :)

A few days before that I had the Joe Perry concert in NJ which was really cool (even tho I didn't get ANYTHING signed, dammit!) It was really nice to have a couple days off work and to go away for a night. (For some of us, we will take what we can get!) I was so excited when i woke up Wednesday morning (my first day off and the day of my show) and found out Steven Tyler was at the NYC show the night before. . .then I was mad and sad, cuz I knew he prolly wouldn't show up at my NJ show. . .AND to think, I almost went to the NYC show. Two of my friends actually MET him. . those lucky ducks!! :) Darn it!! I will just Dream On. *sigh*

In other news, lol, I keep coming up with more goals. . .even though I am not very good at follow through. I have tons of stuff I need to accomplish and time is running out on some of it.
I was supposed to have my xmas decorations started by now, so that the lights would be ready to turn on black friday (uhm, that goal is not looking so good).
I still haven't joined and online chat/website type thing i wanted for managing my weight...that was supposed to be done by the end of september (uhm, oops!). I have been slacking! sheesh - but the good news is that i did check into a few more sites since I wrote about that. I really liked "bitchyourselfthin" but it cost $9.95 to join, and Im not convinced its worth it yet, especially when there are tons of FREE sites that do so much more. (haha, thats the cheapie in me!)
I promised myself I would fix up this blog and add some real pix and some links to my fav sites. . .and guess what? Yep, you guessed it. .. that's not done either.
Now Christmas is coming and add all that stuff in with everything else. . .I might as well hire someone. hahaha
Oh, yeah, and Alex has been bugging me to bake stuff. Oh man. . .I AM a slacker! I am lucky that I don't have any thanksgiving stuff to do. . since we are going elsewhere for dinner. . .I just have to make a few desserts (which is easy as pie!) hahaha
Anyways. . .tons of stuff to do as usual, and not enuff time, AS USUAL.

About little bit about life

Well I have realized that this blog is mostly about my good deals and free stuff! Which is always a good thing. . .but what about my life?? Believe it or not, I do have one outside of clipping coupons and saving $$ (and taking pix of my free stuff. . .hehehe u should hear the kids on that one!!) You prolly wouldn't be able to tell from my blog though! LOL

Lately, I have been really busy running around. I go straight from work to the school to pick Alex up from football practice, then we do the dinner dilemma. . .yeah, I haven't learned! We still do the dilemma! :) Some things will never change! haha then by the time we are done, we all have about an hour to do whatever before it is time to turn in. Whew! I am tired just thinking about it. AND that is only "normal" days. Monday nights, Alex has JV games, Friday nights are Varsity games, Wednesday nights they have Youth (church). . .and that is just THEIR stuff!!

So now we all know why I don't have time to blog often. lol I do have something very exciting coming up that I have been counting down the days for (no, it's not xmas, even tho I am almost done shopping) *ducks from stuff being thrown at me* LOL most of it was really cheap or free. Anyways. . .it is Joe Perry in concert in New Jersey 3 DAYS BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY!!! Do you think I may get a special bday present and MAYBE get to meet him??? *sigh* here's hoping I do. . .then I would never EVER get a better birthday present!! I have tons of Aero friends going to this show and I am very excited for it!! The friend of mine who is coming with is totally awesome and her and I have never done anything like this together. . .cuz something always ends up coming up for her. Bob is not sure if he is going or not, because of work. He doesn't have any vacation days left. . .so if he isn't laid off, he will be going to work. He is hoping he gets laid off of course. . .I don't care either way. . .even though I really need a mom/WIFE break! LOL sometimes he just don't get it. . .but get this, u never hear me wanting to go with HIM on a stupid hunting trip where he gets his "dad/hubby breaks" now do you? LOL He could just let me go. . .whatever!! LOL At least I get paid to go!! :P

Also, my friend who live near Philly just told me about a show in Philly on 11-28 to see Fosterchild who is a new band (local) that I really want to see. So here is hoping we get to go. I am gonna try to gather a bunch of friends for that one.
I am going thru withdraw big time!! I need a fix!! 8 more days!! :)

The next big thing I am working on is trying to get Bob to pay for a new tattoo for me for my birthday. I have it all planned out and know exactly what I want and how it is to be done. . .I might just go get on my own because I really want another one and I don't wanna wait!!

Sometimes life is crazy (and I know I am all over the place here. . .so if you can't keep up, move on! LOL) and sometimes I just want to run away. . .
My new saying for this week is "I don't want responsibilities anymore!!" Can u imagine?? It would be so cool to just always do whatever whenever. . .no work, no worries, no RESPONSIBILITIES!! *another big sigh* LOL
I just feel so overwhelmed with running the kids around, trying to figure out whats for dinner, work, cleaning, etc. etc. etc. it goes on and on. . .that the only thing that keeps me going is my next road trip. . .or it seems like that anyways!! Don't get me wrong, I love the smart ass comments from my comedian of a kid, or his smile when mom tells "a good one" or the laughter after we finally sit down to eat. . .but every once in a while. . . a mom/wife break is good - good for the soul, almost as good as laughter!!! :)

On Friday I went to Target to pick up a few things. . .

well, okay. . .I heard about the great sale Target was having - and I just had to go get some good deals!! LOL :)

Okay so if u guessed $1.36. . .U WIN!!! :) No, actually I DO!! LOL

Glade candles (xmas and jar) are onsale for $2.50 each. If you buy five glade products, you get a $5 Target gift card (for ur next purchase) -- plus, u guessed it, I had coupons. . .and one of them was buy two glade candle holders, get a refill pack free! (u know me, I luv frreeee!) haha

6 bottles of cranberry juice (which is my kids new thing, he drinks it like there is no tomorrow! but I would rather have him drink that than sugar!) they were on sale for $2 each and I had a $1 target coupon for each bottle! $1 each

Same with the chex mix, except I had a target coupon and manufacturers coupon for each bag, which makes them about $.75 a bag, and these are wayyy better than cookies! LOL (and better for you . . .er, uh me!! lower fat snack!)

So I purchased all the candles and my total was 15.88 after coupons -- I get $10 back in gift cards which I used for my second purchase, which came to $10.48 after coupons. So my out of pocket was 15.88 + .48 which equals 16.36 -- now even that is a good price for all this stuff, but I have 3 SC Johnson rebates that i sent in (when you buy 3 SC Johnson products, you get $5 rebate - Glade is SC Johnson, so I qualified for the rebate, and the rebate has a household limit of 3!!!) So I will get $15 back in the mail, making the total for my purchase $1.36!!! WOOT!

And all those glade holiday candles are gonna be xmas presents. I would say that is a good deal!

Yeah, well I had to go to the Harrisburg store (cuz Selinsgrove ran out of candles when I was there LOL) on Saturday too. . .just to check it out.

Same way. . .bought the glade candles and used the gift cards on my second purchase. . .but this great deal involved 12 pkgs of keebler cookies. they were on sale for $2 a pack, and if you buy two you get one free. Of course I had target coupons and manufacturer coupons for each pack of cookies I got, and they averaged at about 3 packs for $1.50 - $2 :) Gotta love that (even tho we don't NEED the cookies, Bob likes to take them for work snacks) Bob even said, do we really need this many cookies? I was like at $.50 a pack. . .WE SURE DO! LOL

The Shout was on sale for $2.50 and I had a target coupon for $2.50 off and a manufacturers coupon for $1. . .so i made a profit on that one cuz they let me use them both. I needed the Cascade and had to have my total over $10 for the gift card purchase (well, I didn't have to, but I hate having .38 on a giftcard! LOL) and it was on sale w/coupons. . . so there we go!!

I am thinking Target is my new favorite store. . .for this week!! :)
